Here is one of my new stories.
Snowy Lost!
On April 20, 2009, thirteen-year-old
Jim picked up Snowy and climbed down the tree house. When Jim dropped Snowy down, he ran to his
food bowl, “Alright Snowy, alright! I will get you some food.” Jim walked in the house with Snowy watching him
strangely. Jim got the food for Snowy and
started to pour it in the bowl. Snowy
devoured it. He was so hungry.
“Jim!” his mother called, “Can you
go to the corner store with Snowy to go get some bread for me?”
“Yes, mom,” Jim said.
Then Jim started to walk. Snowy
was in the lead sniffing away. When they
opened the door of the shop, Jim pulled out his wallet and paid the person near
the counter. Then Jim picked up the
bread and ran home with Snowy. He gave
the bread to his mom, and then he walked to his bed. He started to read and then he looked
up. Looking around worried, he closed
his book and got out of bed. Where is Snowy? He usually always stays here
while I read, he wondered. Jim
started calling, “Snowy, Snowy, are you here?”
Suddenly a big sad look went around his face. He saw a hole in the wall that
Snowy must have ran outside. Then he ran
outside and looked around for a long time. Snowy was not anywhere to be
found.
Jim went back inside and talked
to mom about it. She said to talk to dad about this one. So he waited till his dad came back from
work. Jim sat down and talked to his
father while they were eating dinner.
His dad said to maybe get a couple of friends one day and go to look for
Snowy.
The next day Jim went out to
look for some of his friends. On the way
he stopped by to talk to Garry the gardener.
Garry said, “So what is your next mystery?” Then Jim told him all that had happened. “Quite a story there, boy. Do you need some
help?”
“No, I think some of my friends
will help me. “ Jim walked out of the house and then started running. Half an hour later Jim had three of his
friends with him. Their names were Bill,
Frank and Max. After one hour of getting his friends and talking to Garry, Jim
and his crew started looking. They
looked a long time.
“Whew, it’s hot,” said Bill.
“What color is he?” asked Frank.
“Mostly white,” said Jim. Finally, Jim looked up from the ground, “How
about we check next to the grocery store.
It’s in Family St.”
“Good idea, Jim,” answered Max.
Jim and the boys started running, but when
they arrived there was no Family St.
“They must have changed it,” said Jim.
After two hours and thirty minutes of looking in the hot sun, they felt
tired and thirsty.
“Let’s go back. It’s getting
hot,” suggested Bill.
Jim nodded, “Let’s go
boys.” Jim, worn-out, walked in the door
of his house.
“You’re back, Jim!” exclaimed his mother. “Did you find anything out there?” “Nope, nothing,” responded Jim.Friday morning Jim woke up from the birds twittering
around. Jim got out of bed, got dressed,
and then ran down stairs. It was chore
day. After eating a yummy meal of toast
and eggs, Jim just remembered, where’s
Snowy? A tear ran down Jim’s face. He
had been his friend for seven years. Jim
wiped the tear away, and then got up from his chair slowly. Then Jim went to do his chores. When Jim finished his chores, he ran outside
to play on his tree house.
When he got there, Jim thought, doesn’t Snowy like grass? Jim
climbed down the tree house and headed to his mother.
“Mom, is it alright for me and my friends to look for Snowy
again?”
“Alright, Jim, but
please don’t come back late.”
“Yes, mom,” said Jim.
Jim ran outside and in less than fifteen minutes, Jim and his friends were
together.
“Ok, so where are we going?” asked Bill.
“We’re going to the pastures, Bill, “said Jim. Then Jim and the boys started sprinting
toward the pastures.“Wow, that’s some pasture, “said Bill when they got
there. The bull in the pasture turned to
Bill, and then charged toward Bill. Bill
stepped back, “Whoa big… towering, huge bull.”
Then Jim looked in the pasture and then out of the
pasture. “Snowy,” Jim suddenly
cried. Jim ran as fast as he could. When Jim got there, he saw blood coming from the
dog’s leg. “Oh Snowy,” said Jim, picking
him up.“Jim, you found him,” exclaimed Max excitedly! Then he saw blood pouring down Snowy’s
leg.
“Frank, Max, and Bill, come help me carry Snowy, quickly!” They
all saw tears running down Jim’s face. They
all helped Jim pick up Snowy. After ten
minutes, the boys arrived at Jim’s house and wrapped his leg in bandages.
“Well, Jim, it’s a
blessing you found him out there or he would have been dead,” said Jim’s
dad. After a day of Snowy lying almost
dead, they finally took him to a vet.
“Well,” said Mr. Larkin, the veterinarian. “I believe that I
can get Snowy back on the road, only if you just give me some time.”
“Ok,” said Jim’s dad walking out of the office. A few minutes later they heard this wild
bark. “That’s Snowy!” exclaimed
Jim excitedly.
“Indeed that’s Snowy, but have patience. He might still be in
pain,” replied his father. Finally after
waiting for a long time, the veterinarian came outside.“Sir,” said Mr. Larkin.
“Snowy is better, but you will need to keep him quiet and rested. That means no playing with him.” Jim and his dad walked back in the vet’s
office and there was Snowy. He was sitting
upright on the table, but not on his legs.
“Oh Snowy,” said Jim
holding him tightly.
The next day Snowy woke up much
better, but he still could not walk on his leg.
After four days of hoping Snowy would get better, Jim woke up with Snowy
licking his face on the bed. “Snowy, you’re better!” Jim shouted. Jim and Snowy become life-long friends. Snowy never ran away again.

Great story very interesting and well written!!
