A Reel in the Market Place

Last week I was writing a paper for class, and I wanted to present it to you.  I was doing the paper on a certain part in a book called The Kite Fighter.

A Reel Earned in the Market Place

In Seoul, Korea a boy named Lee-Sup wanted a reel in the market place for his kite.  Lee-Sup was determined to go to the old kite seller and try to earn the special reel.  His older brother Kee-sup had a reel of his own and Lee-sup wanted one of his own too.  Lee-Sup’s family didn't have the money to buy their son a reel, so Lee-Sup decided to earn it by himself.  He asked the old kite seller if he could earn the reel somehow.  The old kite seller said maybe, but Lee-Sup had a better idea. 

Lee-Sup asked how many reels do you sell each day, and the old kite seller said three to four. Lee-sup said, “If I fly my kite in front of your shop and you sell seven reels than I earn the reel.”  The old kite seller agreed so Lee-sup returned next morning and flew his kite in front of the old kite seller’s shop the whole day.  He only sold six reels when the market place started to shut down.  Suddenly they heard a shout; they saw a boy running up to the shop with money in his hand.  The boy paid the owner and bought the reel. The old kite seller rewarded Lee-Sup by giving him the reel.

Epic Aim

This is a movie that my three friends and I filmed.  It took about six to eight months of filming and editing.  It is mainly about the character Bon, who survives an attack from snipers.  This is one of my first movies I have ever made. Here is the Movie and Trailer.

Scary Story

This is a story that I had to do for History.  The theme was a scary story about something in your life or a made up story.

Forest Fire

Driving happily down the mountainside, I talked to my thirteen-year-old friend named Mary next to me.  The two families were returning to their home and coming back from a very exhausting, all-morning hike in the mountains.  Mary said something funny; I laughed and twisted my head to the filthy window.  The van curved sharply and unending bends while inside the van people talked and laughed.  Suddenly the land around us converted into steep, scary looking, and very dark.  Then the van turned a corner so sharply that I thought the car would fall off the hill!  Ah, finally flat terrain, I thought to myself looking out the glass in the front of the car.  I stopped talking to my friend because I started feeling a little sick and uneasy.

Then the car curved another bend and suddenly, looking ahead, there was an enormous cloud of smoke and ashes.  The car slowed down and everybody gasped. “There is a forest fire!” shouted Mary.  The two cars came to a stop and everybody hopped out with cameras in their hands.  The families walked to the edge and saw the monstrous roar of fire bursting up from the trees.  I choked as I breathed the smoke, and squinted when the smoke caught into my shocked, hurting eyes.  The forest fire just started and was demolishing any living thing in its path.  Unexpectedly the fire hit something really burnable and a big bang sounded in the air and fire burst out from everywhere.  The two families started running to the car. “It’s spreading,” I said.

Every person jumped into the car as fast as they could and the car started.  All of us were relieved and breathing heavily.  Mary and I looked at the fire in horror. Did anyone else know about the fire? The air conditioner cooled and comforted them quickly. The car finally came out of the dull and rocky mountains and into the smooth, wide road.  They, surprisingly, did not see anybody or anything around.  Every single person in the two vans felt relief from the forest fire, and they slept safely in their own beds that night.

Last Day

America was really fun, and I enjoyed it so much!!! Thank you Ramirez's!! 

Famous rock

This was a famous rock directors used in their movies.  It was amazingly high when you got up there, I was scared to death.  The hike was really hot, that was the only problem. We made it though and it was fun!

It was so difficult climbing to the rock, but we made it!!

Universal Studios

Our family really wanted to go to Universal Studios. We had so much fun together at this theme park.  I really enjoyed it, because the park was really themed.  There were two rides that I liked, they were Transformers and Jurassic park!!  Here are some pictures of Universal Studios.

Fries

This shopping center was really cool, and it is called Fry's!  It has all these aliens and army men in the shop!!  They had tons of things!!  I also would like to show you pictures of the Hollywood sign!!!!  Enjoy!
